About the Film

“Influenced mostly by the 1985 real story of a narcotic runner’s fatal accident, absent cocaine, and indeed the black bear something which consumed it, one such wild comedy drama uncovers an oddball cluster of police officers, lawbreakers, visitors, and teenagers colliding in a Georgia vegetation where such a 500-pound top predator has consumed an astounding quantity of cocaine and disappeared on a coke-fueled warpath for further blast… and blood,” the film’s summary interprets.

The cocaine consumed by that predator was dumped from an aircraft in 1985 by gang member Andrew Thornton, the heir of rich Kentucky equine ranchers.

Thornton, a defense prosecutor, and illicit drugs officer were on a crack cocaine mission from Colombia in either a Cessna and also were dumping parcels off within northern Georgia.

Thornton died after he leaped out of the aircraft and “struck his head just on tail of the airplane while failing to deploy his paraglider, in accordance with the Georgia Bureau of Investigations.

Thornton was carrying night vision goggles, a Kevlar jacket, and Designer footwear before his body was uncovered in a residential driveway in Knoxville, Tennessee.

3 months following Thornton’s funeral, the deceased bear and the tenth ziplock baggie were discovered there in Chattahoochee Forest Preserve, south of the line boundary across Tennessee & Georgia.

They obtained it following a lengthy cross-country quest and chronicled its unusual background on their webpage.

“Its innards were absolutely loaded down with cocaine. “There isn’t a single animal mostly on earth that might withstand this,” said the forensic pathologist who did the post-mortem just on the bear.

Administrators subsequently had the bear taxidermied and given it to the Chattahoochee Delta National Recreational Area, which had it presented at a tourist center.

It was then stored through a conflagration before winding up at a Nashville thrift store. It was later purchased by country music artist Waylon Jennings, who gave it to a buddy in Las Vegas.
