I love the word “emporia.” I mean it in a positive way. It means a place, a time, a relationship, a place that is important to someone.
I’ve never heard it referred to as a place, but I see your point. For instance, I spent years as an English major in a Mexican university. It’s a place, and I have no problem with saying it.
The word emporia can be used in another way as well. Emporia, which is a Spanish word also means a town or even a state. Just like empera means emporer. In the same way, emporia is a place, and a time, and a relationship to someone. This meaning is a bit more difficult to write out for a blog post. I think it is more descriptive though.

In this case, we’re talking about the people who live in the real world. The emporia is that place where real people live. The real emporia is the place where people meet and interact, or they meet and interact. And the only thing that can happen in the emporia is that the emporer is brought in.
An emporia is usually a person who has been brought in by another person who’s a character in a story. So at the start of the game, we meet our first emporian, the young lady Emporia Rose. This is a female character who brings the person you meet in the first game into existence. She is the one who brings you into the emporia.
We meet the next emporian, Emporia Rose, in the emporia. She is the person who brings you into the emporia. You meet her because she is the one who brings you into the emporia. This is a person who meets you because she brings you into the emporia.
