The dented artifact collected from the Copied Factory has now been hardened in the furnace of the Dark Sun. It is a coin that was put into mass production by an unknown entity with the intent to stampede all currency in Vana’diel.manufactured coin ffxiv

But alas, it seems as if both this dented coin and its manufactured copies have been rendered useless by their own creator. At this point, they have only fulfilled their goal to be spread far and wide as symbols of Valor Points: which are not real currency but rather a representation of experience points accumulated from successful actions such as battles and crafting.

It is not yet clear who exactly the inventor is and what their intentions are. However, it is a well-known fact that the dented coin and its copies have been stamped out of existence by their own creator, which means there will be no more new ones produced. Since this coin itself has absolutely no value to begin with, it’s hard to imagine anyone finding any value in collecting all the various edges that may exist.

FFXIV- A dented artifact collected from the Copied Factory :

1. The Collectors Coin

The dented coin is a “Collectors Coin” that has not been struck at all. It is a coin with no value, and it’s existence bears no significance whatsoever.

2. The Stamped-out Coins!

The dented coin is actually the result of the stamping out of many other coins by an unknown entity. Every other existing currency in Vana’diel has been stamped out to non-existence, making this coin the only remaining one from its series. A vast amount of copies were made, with every edge given a unique design.

3. The Recipe for the Collectors Coin

There is a secret “recipe” that produces collectable coins along with many copies. Apparently, the creator set up three conditions under which this would happen. The first condition was that it was determined that a certain percentage of all currency would be stamped out. If not met, the currency would be kept in circulation as normal. Second, it was determined which design to stamp out by a random number generator and semi-randomized via console commands. And thirdly, there had to be a “creator” (who could manipulate these conditions) who could actually set them all up in order to produce these coins and copies.

4. The whole thing is a joke!

It was the creator’s goal to spread far and wide this coin that symbolized experience points: which are not real currency but rather a representation of experience points accumulated from successful actions such as battles and crafting. The creator’s reasons for this remain unknown, but it is often said that even someone with valor points that surpass anyone else’s could only acquire one by chance. It also seems like whoever has collected them all will get a special reward from the creator.

5. The Purpose of Valor Points

Valor Points (experience points) are like experience points in any other game. But unlike experience points in other games, not only does it help you level up, it is also required to increase your attributes such as HP and MP.

6. The Reward for collecting the Coins

As revealed by the “Secret Miqo’te”, who is a friend of the creator: “I have heard that the person who collects them all will receive something truly special”. Though they did not reveal what that reward was, they said it was something that even a god would envy. This has made quite a few people go mad with desire to collect them all.

7. The Source of the Coins

If you find a coin stamped with an unfamiliar pattern, be sure to collect it immediately! They say that the creator could have been someone who was bored while waiting for their food in a restaurant, or perhaps they were trying to make their own fun by making these coins. Only the creator knows the direct reason for creating these coins, but there are also many theories: one being that they only wanted to make money from them.

8. The difference between Soft and Hard currency

Valor points are “Soft Currency”, which means that you can’t trade them for any real-world items or services. On the other hand, there are also “Hard Currency” like gil that you can use to buy items or pay people for their services. So if you want to make real money, hard currency is the way to go!

9. The true reason why rupees were stamped out

Even if you don’t understand any of this, at least you can think back to before this craziness started and remember the time when rupees were still around. It’s really a shame that they’re gone now.

10. The Hidden Secret in the image below

The symbol on the left side is a machete and the symbol on the right side is a beacon. No one knows what these two items are supposed to represent, but it’s definitely related to some sort of secret just like the hidden message inside the Great Crystal: “I know you’ve reached here through your own strength.”
