With the rockypoint story that unfolded in the news, it is hard to know what needs to be said. This news was an example, and I just want to say that I am extremely grateful for all that everyone did in the aftermath of a tragedy. For those of you who knew me before these events happened, I hope we can all move on with our lives. I’m not just talking about the victims; everyone who knew and worked with me personally.
This is not a “I miss you” kind of note. I am simply saying that I miss you all.
The news that launched a million people into a frenzied, tearful panic and went viral is something that all of us take for granted every day. But that is why we are here. We are on a mission to spread awareness of the dangers of fracking and the need for a public safety net.
As much as I love The Rock Island, I hope that the media attention that it has brought to the issue of fracking can help to bring people together. Fracking is an extremely controversial issue, and it’s clear that our society as a whole isn’t interested in the issue. That’s why we decided to start the campaign. As part of the campaign, we’re asking the Rock Island to donate to a fund to help victims of the disaster, and we’re also asking our friends to donate.
So far, we’ve raised $4,250 (or almost $1400 in donations), so just imagine how much we can raise! Thanks to everyone for your support.

So the Rock Point island has fallen into the sea from the sky, so it is now only a few miles away from the mainland. And it’s still in the process of being constructed. But it is now, as seen in the video, only a few miles from the beach. I think that’s worth a mention.
