The software channel is the bar at the bottom of the window. It displays all of your social media type feeds, such as Twitter, Facebook, Twitch, etc. on one page. 

It is typically located on your left side on your screen for Windows PC users and on your right side on Mac OSX.

Within the software channel, there are icons that display results of your activity across different social media sites, including articles you have liked on Facebook, tweets you have sent on Twitter, keywords you have searched for on Google, and videos you have watched on Twitch. 

These are all filtered into the software channel  based on your activity.

If you do not want to display any activity or social media related feeds in the software channel, click the icon in the top right portion of the software channel to hide them. 

They can still be accessed from another part of Windows/Mac user interface by clicking Settings in the bottom right hand corner in Windows and Control-click in every other program in every other operating system to reveal their menu bar. 

Then click the icon of the social media site you want access to. software channel retus is a new, patented technology for the software channel which allows our company to provide an unrivaled experience for our clients. 

If you want to display activity and social media related feeds, such as news you have liked on Facebook, new tweets on Twitter, or videos of your favorite streamers that you have watched on Twitch in your software channel.

 Then click the icon in the top right portion of the software channel to show them. 

You can access the software channel Settings via the bottom right corner of Windows (Control-click) or by clicking Settings in the bottom right corner of every other program.

 Click on the media icons to view different feeds. Click Unfilter or Filter, then quickly re-apply to your desired feeds. Click OK to close the window with your changes applied. 

Steps to change the software channel :

Step1. Hold down the Windows key on your keyboard.

Or Hold down the Control key if you are using a Mac.

Step2. While you are holding these keys.

Press I for Windows or Command for Mac.

Step 3. This takes you to the Settings window.

 Where three choices are available to you: Devices, System and Notifications & Actions. Select Notifications & Actions. 

Step 4.Click Advanced at the bottom of this menu.

[If this is not your first time inside Settings]

 To reveal more settings. Otherwise click Notifications & Actions and then click Advanced at the bottom of this menu to reveal more settings.

Step5.Click or tap on the Channels heading

 At the top of this menu to reveal your software channels.

Step 6.Scroll down 

To the media icons and you will see a list of different social media sites filtered into your software channels. 

Many users have a RSS feed for following their favorite news outlet websites at the bottom of this list, which is filtered into this section as well. 

You can click or tap these icons to view different feeds. You can click Unfilter at the top, then quickly re-apply to your desired feeds. 

Click OK to close the window with your changes applied.

Step7.Click or tap on the name of the channel.

 At the top that you want to Edit.

Step 8.Uncheck or check boxes

Depending on if you want different activities filtered into your software channel or not. 

These are covered in step 5 above for reference purposes, but you should be able to follow along just by looking at this image showing all boxes unchecked except for one check box, which is checked .

Step9.Click or tap on the Relaunch button

At the bottom of this menu, then click Yes when Windows/Mac asks you if you are sure. 

Step10.Click or tap on Relaunch

 At the bottom of this menu to restart your software channels. 

If you have customized one along with repositioning or de-cluttering, you will not see the same feed at the top of this list; it will be different. 

Step11.Select Done at the bottom of this menu to exit settings.
