Anime Show “The Ranking Of Kings Season 2” Everything Is Here About It

One of my favorite shows of all time is the anime, One Punch Man. The first season was released in 2015 and was part one of a two-part series. it’s undeniably gorgeous.

Evil King Zedomir has been overthrown by our brave hero King Simon and all seems well in the land of Albion. But there are two problems: he’s back as the Red King, and Miranjo is not happy.

The ranking of Kings season 2 will pick up on this cliffhanger. And, quite frankly, you should be too. There’s still a lot to be done in the first two episodes (the ones we’ve gotten so far, at least) and we’ll all need to stay tuned to see it through.

Who’s In The Casting For “The Ranking Of Kings Season 2”?

The English dub of Ranking of Kings is in the process of being cast for the second season of the anime. Yugi Nagai, one of the series’ original writers and directors, has announced that he will return for another season. He also revealed in an interview that the show’s main theme song will be sung by Hikaru Utada.

• Prince Bojji – Emily Fajardo

• Kage –  SungWon Cho

• Queen Hilling –   Luci Christian

• Daida – Justin Briner

• Miranjo –   Brianna Roberts

• Domas –  A. J. Locascio

• Dorshe –   Brent Mukai

• Apeas –  Luis Bermudez

• Bebin –   Christopher Wehkamp

• Despa –  Christopher R. Sabat

• King Desha –   Gabe Kunda

• King Bosse –   Cris George

What Will Be The Plotting Of “The Ranking Of Kings Season 2”?

In the first season, we saw King Simon (of Albion) fighting against his father as the Red King. He won and took over as king, but not before learning that who he thought to be his father was an evil puppet. Along the way, he fell in love with Miranjo, a dark queen.

King Zedomir will return as the Red King and will be looking for revenge against Prince Bojji who has taken over his kingdom by poisoning him. But even more importantly, it looks like there will be some big revelations about Miranjo’s true origins which might shed light on that scene at the end of season one and why she’s so pissed about what happened to her after all these years.

Let’s just hope the second season can iron out the timeline issues and don’t ruin everything by trying to follow too many of them at once. Also, I wonder if they’ll ever get around to telling us what happened to Lynette and Marigold.

Why do I think We Will See A Ranking Of Kings in Season 2?

There are still two more episodes left in this first season (and likely a couple more after that) and there is no way we can’t see it through to its conclusion. Not only does Yugi Nagai direct this one, but also his assistant Motoaki Furukawa has produced it together with his team of scriptwriters from Production I.G.

What’s About “The Ranking Of Kings Season 2”?

Let’s face it, there is no way we’re not getting a second season of this one, right? This show is too addictive and charming not to get another season, even if Production I.G. can only go ahead with three or four more episodes at a time before they have to focus on other shows. Why? Because the basic premise is fully fleshed out, which makes it so much more than the sum of its parts (which is why it works so well). Essentially, I think we’ll end up with a show that will be as strong as season one was if not stronger.

The main question for me is whether or not Production I.G. will manage to deliver another analytical masterpiece like this first season.

What About The Release Date Of “The Ranking Of Kings Season 2”?

The first season of The Ranking of Kings was released in Japan on April 4th back in 2017. Sadly, we’ve got no official word about the release date of the second season yet. Still, considering this is an anime from Production I.G., there’s a good chance that it will be released internationally at least a month or two after it premieres in Japan. With this in mind, ask yourself when you think the next available slot is for its premiere, and add a month or two to it. We expect the date of the second season will be late in 2024.
