As I’ve written before, I have never been to Newport News, and I’m looking forward to it! The fact that this hotel is located on Route 66 is a good indication of the great number of activities and attractions Newport has to offer. The city is a bit rough. For starters, the city is in the middle of nowhere. One of the reasons I like it so much is that although there is a car lot directly across the street from this hotel, it houses nothing more than a gas station and a convenience store. The beach is a bit off the beaten path, but it has a great view of the ocean. It also has a small grocery store. It is very rural and very quiet.

It does have a few nice restaurants, but the only one I have been to is the one that is directly across the street from the hotel, which contains a few great, inexpensive meals.

I guess a lot of people just dont remember the last time they were here. People who live in the city and have always been in the city always know it. This place seems to be more rural.
