Mychart Doesn’t Have To Be Hard. Read These 5 Tips

For people who are struggling with their MyChart, this article was custom made just for you! When it comes to using the various online portals at UConn’s Health Insurance Marketplace, the MyChart portal is hard to navigate. In some cases, users can get frustrated and stop trying altogether. My chart moses cone. Don’t be discouraged though! These 5 helpful tips will dramatically improve your experience in the long run.

1. Build your strengths

For better or for worse MyChart was designed as a web application. This means that it works best in Internet Explorer or Firefox. If there isn’t an option for your browser in the MyChart menu, you may want to try one of those browsers and see if that makes it work better. Another option is to use a virtual browser like Opera and go to  http://mychart.healthconnector.org . If you’re already using Chrome or Firefox, then please don’t use a different browser just to make MyChart work properly. The last thing you want is confusing settings on your computer.

As you work more on building your strengths, you’ll find that it’s much easier for you to make course corrections on a regular basis than when you’re operating from a lack of knowledge. It also helps point things out as they relate to different topics taught in class or when reviewing material later down the line.

2. Prioritize your tasks

Don’t feel like you have to complete everything on your list at once. That doesn’t work for most people. The more important tasks are the ones that need to be done first, and then the others will fill in naturally. It’s important to prioritize things so that the most pressing matters get addressed first, while others can wait their turn until they’re needed.

This can be a little easier when there are larger gaps in between smaller tasks as well. For instance, if you want to submit your application for a coverage period, then it’s easiest to start with that task and work from there rather than trying to submit it at one time. The first thing you should do to build your strengths is to prioritize, as well as effectively cut down on all the distractions and easy tasks that take up your time throughout the day at work. This helps keep you more focused on learning rather than doing things you can do while watching TV or while on Facebook.

3. Make time to study

If you’re anything like a lot of the students I’ve worked with, and in particular the ones who are not taking classes at the moment, then you might have very limited time to study. In fact, it could be as little as an hour or even less. This is why it’s important to make time for MyChart even when it takes place out of hours. If you find that these times are best for you, then try scheduling your next appointment a day or two out so that you can dedicate a little more time to studying, rather than realizing that all your free time is gone and having to rush through things just to get them done.

Spending 15-30 minutes of your time every day working towards your strengths will help you improve in a very short amount of time. When you’re given the opportunity to strengthen yourself so you’re able to tackle research, for example, it can be extremely helpful for understanding how a chemical works and why it works (or doesn’t work) in certain cases.

4. Know your strengths

While you’re working on building your strengths, you have to have a basic understanding of why some things work and others don’t. This is essential for being able to make the right choices when it comes to classwork, research, and for connecting with people in a professional setting.  For example, if you’re having trouble with writing papers or preparing for exam days, consider doing extra research online or asking your professor if he or she can send you an outline they created specific to that course. This will not only help you better understand why certain things are done in a certain way but it will also give you the opportunity to learn more about the topic itself.

5. Educate yourself about financial aid and accessing the How to Get Help section of MyUConn

One of the most important things you can do when it comes to the process of returning to school is educating yourself on all the options you have available. For example, while returning to school can be a very rewarding experience, it’s often very expensive and you’ll want to make sure that everything is covered adequately.  This includes finding out what types of scholarships or grants are available at your university as well as how you’re going to qualify for loans.

Conclusion of this article:

There are many ways to improve your experience with MyChart and make it much easier to use effectively. The 5 tips listed above will take you far in that direction. If you’ve not used it before, definitely check it out right away. It’s a great way of improving your experience at UConn.
