One Checklist That You Should Keep In Mind Before Attending Movie Nights

Movies are a great way to spend time with family and friends, but you should always consider the potential dangers involved before heading to the theater. As tempting as it is to let your guard down and entirely rely on others, there are precautions you should take when attending a dinner theater movie night. Van son entertainment is an exciting way to entertain family and friends, but that doesn’t mean you should risk falling victim to a crime.

The first thing you should consider doing before the movie starts is printing off a list of the important phone numbers that can help you if you get into trouble. Include emergency numbers, your parents’ and siblings’ phone numbers, and an outside contact who can be reached in case of an emergency. If it seems unlikely that someone who has broken into your house will steal your wallet as well as your keys, keep all valuable items out of sight in your car or hide them away in the garage for safekeeping.

One Checklist That You Should Keep In Mind Before Attending Movie Nights :

1. Discuss the rules of the house:

2. Don’t put your wallet and other valuable items in your car:

If it seems unlikely that someone who has broken into your house will steal your wallet as well as your keys, keep all valuable items out of sight in your car or hide them away in the garage for safekeeping. If they seem determined to steal something, they will certainly go through the trouble of breaking into your car.

Make sure that you know how to use the stove and disable appliances if you’re leaving them behind when you leave the house. Also don’t forget to set a timer so that you don’t have to worry about coming back home too late.

3. Lock your doors and windows:

Locking your doors and windows may seem like the basic thing to do after a movie, but it can be difficult to remember. Even if you lock up the door, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t secure windows. You never know who might be able to look down from above or who has enough time to climb through a window. If possible, leave a window open between frames so that you have time to put on your seat belt and close it before the film resumes.

4. Don’t “multitask”:

You don’t want to spend the movie worried about leaving your phone, purse, or anything else vulnerable. Instead of having a knee-jerk reaction to put your wallet in your pocket or clutch purse when you’re watching a movie, leave it where it can be easily accessed without disturbing those around you.

You don’t want to risk being distracted by the contents of your bag during the film and inadvertently catch a stranger’s glance while you’re looking around for something else that seems more interesting at the moment. Set everything down rather than keeping them at arm’s length on your lap or holding them in front of you. It’s not worth the risk, especially when the distraction could make you miss a really important plot point that can change your perception of the movie.

5. Keep an eye on your kids:

It’s often easy to forget that there are other people in the theater with you and your family or friends, but there are also strangers around who might try to sneak a peek at what you’re doing, especially if you have children who are less attentive because they’re busy playing or sleeping. Paying attention to our surroundings is important, not just for catching a criminal or preventing an attack but for keeping ourselves safe as well. Don’t forget that not all people are what they seem.

6. Don’t drink too much:

A lot of us like to unwind after a stressful day by getting a few drinks in, but that doesn’t mean we should let ourselves get intoxicated. That could be dangerous for both ourselves and others. If things get out of hand or if you have a small child who cannot reach their own drinks, it would be a great idea to have another person go and get some for you. You don’t need to be completely wasted to pose a risk because of the way our bodies react when we drink alcohol. You should make sure you know what you’re doing before you have more than one drink so as not to impair your judgment, coordination, or decision-making skills.
