Only ‘Squid Game’ and ‘Stranger Things’ were aired live more than ‘Wednesday’ in the first 28 days of their release.

Wednesday debuted on Netflix on November 16, 2022, and received mostly favorable reviews from critics, who appreciated Ortega’s performance.   It quickly became the foremost viewership English-language Netflix series in under three weeks of its official launch. Ortega was nominated for two Golden Globes: Best Television Show-Musical or Comic and Best Actress – Television Show-Musical or Humor.

Just ‘Squid Game’ and ‘Stranger Things 4’ were broadcasted more than ‘Wednesday’ in the initial 28 days of their official launch.

Stranger Things’ fourth season, with 1.35 billion hours monitored, is the sole one above ‘Wednesday’ among many English shows. ‘Wednesday,’ which has received praise from critics and viewers, has indeed amassed an outstanding 1.02 billion hours. It still has 8 days to surpass ‘Stranger Things’ and ‘The Squid Game,’ which were watched for 1.65 billion hours combined.

About Wednesday Netflix Series

Wednesday is an American early 2000s paranormal secret psychological thriller television show centered on the Addams Family character Wednesday Addams. It was written and directed by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar and actors Jenna Ortega as the central character, with Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Gwendoline Christie, Rikki Lindholme, Jamie McShane, Fred Armisen, Christina Ricci in secondary roles. Tim Burton, who still represents as executive producer, directs four of the eight episodes. It follows the central character as she attempts to unravel a monstrous wonder at her school.

Burton previously worked on a failed stop-motion interactive Addams Family movie. He was revealed to be directing a television show in October 2020, which Netflix has finally granted a series order. Ortega was featured to portray the character’s Latina heritage in portion. Burton inquired Ricci, who’d already played the lead character in the 1991 film and its 1993 spinoff, to join the sequence in a recurring role. In September 2021 and March 2022, shooting scenes took place in Romania.

Premise

Tim Burton’s ‘Wednesday’ follows a young Wednesday Adams (Jenny Ortega) as she attends an outside school in order to achieve her psychic powers and start solving a murder case.

The tv series has indeed received two Golden Globe nominations. Whilst also Jenny Ortega has been nominated as the best actress, the tv series will end up competing for Best Musical/Comedy Story arc.
