pump KSV 125-140

The KsV 125-140 condensate pump belongs to a special group of power pumps that operate under conditions of deep vacuum and minimal geometric support and is designed to supply condensate from stationary steam turbines, condensate from steam-heating apparatuses of thermal power plants, nuclear power plants, as well as clean water with a temperature of up to 125 °C in heating and water supply systems, and in metallurgy.

The KsV 125-140 condensate pump is a centrifugal, vertical, two-casing, two-stage pump with an internal section-type casing with a one-sided arrangement of impellers. The basic component of the KsV 125-140 pump is the outer casing. The casing can be cast from cast iron or welded construction and consists of suction and discharge parts. The pump support legs and the discharge nozzle are welded to the outer casing. The inlet nozzle is made in the outer casing and is located on the axis of the pump. In the suction part of the pump casing, there is a hole for connecting the discharge pipeline.

The internal casing (removable part) is a separate assembly consisting of the following units: rotor, end seal, upper bearing unit, lantern, and components: discharge cover, cover, section casing with guide apparatus, casing (feed to the first stage). The details of the internal casing are centered on cylindrical tapers and connected to each other by tightening bolts. Seals made of heat-resistant rubber rings are provided at the joints. An sealing ring of the impeller is installed in the section casing, and a ring of interstage seal is installed in the guide apparatus. The sealing gland housing is installed in the bore of the discharge cover. Also, a support lantern is attached to it, in the bore of which a bearing housing is installed. The joint of the discharge cover and the outer casing is sealed with a ring of heat-resistant rubber. The separating joint of the suction and discharge parts is sealed with two rings of heat-resistant rubber.

The pump ksv 125-140 rotor is a separate assembly consisting of a shaft, impellers, a pre-inlet wheel, bushings, seal parts, half-couplings, and fasteners. To increase the suction capacity of the pump, a pre-inlet wheel is installed in front of the impeller of the first stage. The parts are mounted on the shaft by sliding fit. A gap is provided between the impeller of the last stage and the end of the shaft, which serves as a compensator for temperature expansions during heating of the impellers by the pumped condensate.

The pump rotor is relieved of axial forces by a seal located on the main disk of the impeller of the second stage; the chamber located in front of the seal is connected to the suction cavity of the pump casing through holes in the discharge cover and discharge pipeline.

The pump rotor is dynamically balanced when assembled.

The end seal of the pump is of a gland type with a hydroseal ring, to which cold condensate is supplied under pressure for cooling the seal and preventing air from being drawn into the pump. The option of installing end seals is possible.

The upper bearing of the rotor, located in the support lantern of the electric motor, serves as a support. The design of the upper bearing allows it to absorb radial and residual axial forces from the rotor due to the two ball radial roller bearings distributed in the axial direction. The lubricant used is grease. Filling is carried out through a grease nipple. The temperature of the upper bearing is controlled by resistance thermosensors installed in the bearing housing.

An asynchronous motor with a squirrel-cage rotor is used as the drive. The electric motor is installed on the pump lantern and connected to it by an elastic bush-finger coupling. Centering of the electric motor and the pump is carried out by moving the lantern with adjusting screws.

The designation of the pump means: KsV – condensate vertical; 125 – flow rate in m³/h; 140 – head in meters.
