The Correct Order to Apply Skincare Products | My Morning and Evening Skincare Routine

I’m sure you’ve heard the old adage, “you’re only as old as your skin” but have you ever thought about what that means for your skincare routine?

Rather than religiously following a particular order, it’s important to find out which type of skin you have and then focus on your areas of concern.

A quick glance at the photo should be all it takes! Here’s https://fabulousstory.com/ a breakdown of each step in my morning and evening skincare routine:

The Correct Order to Apply Skincare Products :

1. Skincare Cleanser

2. Face Lotion

3. Facial  Scrub

 4. Facial Mask

5. Serum

6. Eye Cream

 7. Daily Eye Treatment

8. Night Cream

My Morning and Evening Skincare Routine :

1. Skincare Cleanser

I start off by washing my face in the shower using a gentle cleanser. I’ve been using the Nivea Visage Clean and Refreshing Cleansing Lotion with Plant Extracts for the past few months and I can’t imagine going back to anything else.

The cream makes it easy to apply to my wet skin and lather, without feeling like I’m rubbing sandpaper on my face. After rinsing off, my skin feels fresh and clean, without any tightness or dry patches.

2. Face Lotion

After getting out of the shower, I like to moisturize my face as soon as possible. I use the Nivea Visage Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Lotion because, over time, the cream will helps to reduce wrinkles, preventing them from appearing in the future. I’ve been using this for about a month and I notice that my skin looks smoother and feels softer than before.

3. Facial Scrub

After getting out of the shower I like to exfoliate with a gentle face scrub (about once every 3 days). This helps me remove some of the dead skin that builds up on my face and also helps to keep my pores from getting clogged with dust and dirt.

The scrub I’m using right now is The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil. I massage the oil into my skin before washing it off with a damp washcloth. The combination of oil and water makes it easy to remove any dirt or dead skin that’s built up on my face.

4. Facial Mask

I typically do this next step when I feel like my skin is starting to get dry or if I have some pimples that need treating. Facial masks are great for relieving dry skin as well as smoothening out problem areas, like acne and blackheads.

I’ve been using the Nivea Visage Anti-Acne Facial Mask for a couple of weeks now and I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my skin. The mask is thick enough to cover my entire face but doesn’t feel heavy, which is important for those of us with dry skin.

5. Serum

After the mask, I like to apply some serum, which helps me get the most out of my skincare routine by adding active ingredients that actually work on treating your skin. This step is especially helpful if you have acne or other problems with your skin such as hyperpigmentation (brown spots), scars or wrinkles.

My serum of choice right now is the Alpha-H Vit C Brightening Serum because it reduces brown spots and keeps my skin looking bright and fresh.

6. Eye Cream

After applying my serum, I follow it up with a thin layer of eye cream to help hydrate that delicate skin around my eyes. It’s important to use an eye cream with a light consistency since too much can irritate your eyes and make them water. I’m currently using the Nivea Visage Q10 Eye & Lip Treatment and I can see a difference in how my eyelids feel hydrated and smooth after only two weeks of use.

7. Daily Eye Treatment

This step is usually done whenever I wake up or before going to bed. It’s important to put some time aside for this part of your routine because you want to treat your eye area with the gentlest of treatments, especially if you have sensitive skin around the eyes or eyelids.

I use the REN Sweet Lips Eye Gel because the tiny micro-capsules let the vitamin C and natural oils sink deep into your skin. The gel doesn’t leave a sticky residue behind, which is important for sensitive skin around your eyes.

8. Night Cream

I usually don’t put anything in my night cream unless I wake up with one of those annoying dry patches on my face or if I’m feeling particularly dry or dehydrated. That’s why it’s good to have a separate eye cream to use in the evening so that you can treat that delicate skin, without putting anything near your eyes at night.

The night cream I’m using right now is the Nivea Visage Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream because it’s made with Q10, collagen and vitamins that help to reduce wrinkles and smooth out skin, without feeling tacky or heavy.
