The Modern Rules Of Lifestyle

It’s quite common to wonder what we should put into our bodies and minds in order to look and feel good. Doctors are telling us that not being active is as bad for us as smoking is, so read on for tips on how to make fitness easier; whether it’s just walking more or hitting up a HIIT class instead of sitting on the couch. Navy diver lifestyle is not sedentary, and even though you’re laying on a floatation device or on the bottom of the ocean, it’s still important to keep your body lean, muscular and healthy. The word “lifestyle” is short for “living style.”These bits of information and more are also covered in The Modern Rules. So, whether you’re a serious swimmer or just like being fit, the Navy Diver lifestyle is an excellent way to get your health on track.

The Modern Rules Of Lifestyle :

1. Lifestyle is an Element

Many people think they can take a healthy diet, some military discipline and perfect physical training, yet still not be healthy. They try to put those things on top of their lifestyle and then wonder why they are still sick, or why their life doesn’t seem to be working out the way that it should. It’s not about how healthy you are; it’s about how healthy your lifestyle is. The two go hand in hand; just like a relationship, if you keep going down the wrong path together, it will never work out for you.

2. Quality of Life Doesn’t Equal Longevity

Mark Twain once said: “Longevity is no guarantee of good health. The Ancient Greeks had the shortest average lifespan of any known civilization before the twentieth century. During the same period, their workers were promised immortality in return for their labors. The Egyptians had a longer average lifespan than an average American today, but their longevity wasn’t great compared to the modern Western lifestyle.”

3. Dehydration is Serious

Exercise depletes your body of water. So, if you’re not drinking enough of that vital element, it’s going to hurt your performance, your recovery and will most likely lead you to becoming dehydrated. A good rule to follow is to drink half what you weigh in pounds; so if you’re a 100-pound man or woman, you should aim for 50 fluid ounces of water a day. For a guy weighing 190 pounds, that would make 90 fluid ounces each day. The same rule goes for alcohol; one alcoholic drink equals two glasses of water for ladies and three for men.

4. Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself

You’re human. There’s no shame in taking a day off, or even a week off. If you’re committed to your health, that’s all that counts. So, when you do have time off, go out and enjoy yourself. Just make sure to have fun without killing yourself or making bad choices.

The Navy Diver lifestyle could get boring if you eat the same foods every meal and workout the same way all week long; so try things at different times of the day: eat breakfast for lunch one day, or have an omelet for dinner instead of another plate of chicken breast and broccoli. Keep it interesting!

5. Set Goals

Some people say that goals are merely a way to help you achieve what you already want. It’s true. If you don’t know where you’re going, how can you possibly get there? So, set your goals high and as soon as they seem reachable, shoot for something higher.

6. Be A Healthy Role Model

Whether it’s to your family or a group of friends or just your coworkers, being a role model is vital in having a healthy lifestyle and the Navy Diver lifestyle. More often than not we are what we see; so if our role models are eating unhealthy or taking shortcuts at the gym, then chances are we will follow. If a family member is overweight and/or unhealthy, we will also become overweight and unhealthy.

7. Integrate A Healthy Lifestyle Into Your Life

How can you integrate a healthy lifestyle into your life? It’s simple; start running and then go for walks; sign up for group classes or try going solo at the gym. Follow a fitness DVD or work out with a friend, but just commit to changing your lifestyle today; tomorrow might not come so quickly. The Navy Diver lifestyle is an active one and to stay fit you need to move your body almost every day of the week.

8. Find A Program That Works For You

You don’t have to go to a gym to stay active and fit. In fact, a lot of health clubs and gyms are geared towards the average working man or woman; so if you’re just trying to get into shape, chances are it’s going to be tough. Getting into the habit of exercise is not easy, and most people give up before they ever see real results; so find a program that works for you.
