He plays to people’s weaknesses and gets them to invest in his company.

However, there are only a handful of people who know the real Bill Gates. Some secrets he revealed in his memoir “The Road Ahead” and others were discovered through email exchanges hacked from Microsoft. Here are some of these secrets about Bill Gates that you may not have known!

The Seven Secrets About Bill Gates Only A Handful Of People Know :

1.He didn’t finish college

In his memoirs, Bill Gates explained that he finished his first 17 years in school in just 15. He was enrolled in a special class called “accelerated learning”, which allowed him to get a diploma a year earlier than other students. However, he was not an ordinary student. Bill was brilliant and his teachers gave him special treatment. He also received an average grade of A + every year, but did not even need to write tests or homework.

Bill Gates continued to study at Harvard Business School, but he had already learned everything he needed to know. To receive a degree in systems programming was like going to university in the negative.

2.His first computer was a Commodore 64

Bill Gates never had an IBM personal computer, but it does not mean he didn’t interact with them at all. In fact, his first computer was a Commodore 64 that he started using in college. He used this computer to play games and write programs. When Gates was in the Microsoft executive team meeting, he would use a computer to play chess and do calculations. Gates claimed it was because of this experience that he knew how to make computers work better for people.

3.He made a deal with Microsoft CEO to keep out of his own company

Bill Gates claims that he only joined the executive team to be able to work on the initial plan of starting up a company. He was not the best programmer and his role in helping Microsoft was not critical. Therefore, he had no use for it inside and decided to leave it. However, there was a condition under which he agreed to stay at Microsoft. He felt that if Steve Ballmer left, he would also leave and did not want to do this alone, so he worked as hard as possible.

4.He never intended to become the richest man in the world

Bill Gates says his company has made more money than it needs and he can afford the best house, yacht, plane and cars. His goal was not to become one of the richest people in the world, but rather to make his products available to as many people as possible. Bill Gates claims that he learned how difficult it is for a poor person to call a computer expert for help and decided he would never allow this for his customers.

5.He was the victim of an email scam

In an email exchange between Bill Gates and one of his colleagues, he was surprised to learn that Microsoft had been hacked. He did not know the exact details, but he knew it was a huge deal for Microsoft since his email account was safe and strong. After some time, he found out that it had been a staged operation by one of his partners. The hackers gathered information about him and then went to everyone who worked at Microsoft to solve their personal problems with Bill Gates’s help or in order to get more information.

6.He almost married a woman named Trina Tidwell

In 1999, Bill Gates proposed to Trina and they decided to get married on January 1, 2000. The couple had planned an intimate wedding ceremony that was very quiet, but the media got wind of the news and started making noise about their romance. The press was so noisy that they did not send the invitation to the president. In a hurry, Bill Gates got another document sent where he wanted to clarify that any information disclosed in this document is not verified by Microsoft or Bill Gates’s father, who was also coming for the wedding.

7.He has never had a driver’s license

Since Bill Gates was not a huge fan of driving, he has never had to take a driver’s test. He only had his learner permit and that was before he got the chance to get a license. Later on, Bill would not renew the cheap version of Microsoft’s office suite because he did not want anyone to have access to his documents and this would have allowed hackers to access them.
