Anabelle 4 is the next long-awaited movie from the Annabelle series. The three previous movies in the series were all very different in their storylines and scare, but one thing has been common across all of them: they’ve managed to give some good scares. Now, fans want another addition to the franchise. Anabelle 4 will be following a similar storyline to its predecessors. The doll, Anabelle, is a possessed doll that was part of the infamous Warren haunting. The Warrens are a family in America who claimed that they were being haunted by several spirits. They were also investigated by famous paranormal investigator Lorraine Warren (who is played by Vera Farmiga in the movies). Dr. Johnathan Corbin plays his daughter, Judy who goes to her parent’s house but notices unusual marks and bruises on her mother’s body, then finds out from her mother that she was in fact touching the doll and she’d cut herself on it.
The cast of Anabelle 4 will be completely new. It is unknown who will play the role of Judy or Dr. Corbin but it is highly expected that Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson would play Lorraine and Ed Warren respectively as they have played them in the three previous movies; The Conjuring 2, Annabelle, and Annabelle: Creation.
The plot of the movie Anabelle 4 will definitely follow some similar lines to the other Annabelle films. It is expected that the doll has been in possession of a new kid and the Warrens go to investigate. The movie could begin with a young couple, who are expecting a child who comes to move into a house they were given by Lorraine Warren as part of the donation. However, both Lorraine and Ed Warren mysteriously disappear after leaving them all their belongings so they have no clue that this was an inheritance from her.
With the success of Annabelle and Annabelle: Creation, movie critics thought that there would be more upcoming movies from the series. A fourth movie is already in an advanced stage of production, which is a direct sequel to The Conjuring 2. The film will be directed by David Ellis, who is known for his work in other horror movies like Insidious: Chapter 3 and The Bye Bye Man. Also, it is expected that Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will return to their roles of Ed Warren and Lorraine Warren respectively as they portray them in Conjuring 2 and Annabelle: Creation.
The Annabelle series is one that has fascinated viewers and critics alike. However, there were some concerns about the last couple of movies. A lot of viewers felt that the first movie was scary, but it lost its touch in the sequels. In the third movie, it was mentioned that Judy cut herself on Anabelle’s glass box, but the doll’s box was a fair distance away from her room so it was possible that she could have gotten out of her box without anyone knowing. One thing to look forward to in this movie is whether or not the doll will still be locked in a glass box or if she will be “free”.
The other sequel in the series, Annabelle: Creation, was much anticipated. However, it has been proven to be a major flop at the box office. This movie had a completely new plot with a new doll that was not even possessed by an evil entity. The main focus of this film was on how the Warrens were able to create such amazing results in investigations with their dolls. Even though there were similarities between the previous movies with Annabelle and Annabelle: Creation, viewers, and critics had different opinions on this one.
