Plotline Designed For Upcoming Series

Women Talking takes place in 2010 and follows a close community of eight women who live in a remote Mennonite community bound by harsh religious traditions.

Main Storyline of Upcoming Series

Sarah Polley’s Women Talking addresses a highly sensitive and emotionally charged subject: sexual harassment. Even in the comment To era, portrayals of the sensitive subject in the media continue to lean more on the visual side. Polley, on the other hand, decides to encounter the violent acts in a nonchalant manner. Instead of focusing on the physical strength of the attackers, the film focuses on the remaining questions, conversations, and disclosures that the women must encounter as they face challenges to determine the best path forward.

After discovering the colony’s men’s repetition of violence committed against people as they slept, the women should come to grips with their new horrendous actuality and start deciding how to keep moving forward — in their faith and as a congregation. It’s a race against the clock to evaluate their possible alternatives as the women have only a two-day glass door to keep coming up with a collaborative response to the men’s criminal acts before they come back.

It’s an outstanding method for shifting the storyline away from the men’s unsavory actions instead by concentrating on the women’s thoughts and consideration and adaptability as they attempted to lay new the best route forward. Despite the fact that some women are frightened of religious consequences and men’s retribution, others are willing to go to any length to guarantee not only their own safety and survival but also that of coming generations.

“However the background story of behind occurrences in Women Talking is violent, the movie is not,” Polley told Rolling Stone in a declaration. “We never witness the violence that these women have endured. We only get brief glimpses of the aftereffects. Instead, we see a society of women come around each other as they must make a decision what their overall reaction will be within a very short amount of time.”
