Yahoo’s News Reader, which I use daily, shows up in the corner. I hate it because it tells me what I already know, but it’s a necessary evil for me to stop the noise.
I don’t know if this is a good idea, but I use it all the time. I don’t know if it will work for your desktop, but I’m sure it will work for your iPhone, Android, and Windows phone.
I don’t know if you can do it on your iPhone, but the way to disable notifications is to make a big “x” with your finger in the corner of the screen. This will hide the “New” button, and you can turn them all off with a single click.
You can also disable them on your iPhone by going to Settings(or on the Home screen) > Privacy > Notifications.
I tried to disable notifications on my iPhone, and when I did, my notifications went nuts. They’re supposed to be a very helpful feature, but I don’t know what they are.
I dont know either, I think. I’ll have to try it again later.
I was told by my wife that disabling my notifications helped prevent me from accidentally sending an email or some other form of communication where I would be tempted to click a link and send an attachment.
I think that some of the reasons why I use my iPhone are because I don’t trust the computer to be 100 percent sure that it’s always being used by the correct person, which is why I have to pay attention to my phone. And I’ll admit, even though I don’t have a Yahoo email account, I use it to check my emails.
Yahoo! News has gone the way of the dodo, as the news company has apparently been hacked, leaving all the news and breaking news articles in the hands of a group of hackers who have taken control of all the company’s data. Yahoo! reported the breach on Thursday and the company has been in talks with the FBI over its investigation. Yahoo! now offers a “new, simpler way” for people to turn off notifications on their desktop computers.
Yahoo is still a part of the Internet economy, and many people have no idea that they are at risk of being hacked. In the next few weeks, people will be able to turn off Yahoo News notifications on desktop computers from the new Yahoo Email Settings page.
If you want to be able to disable the news feed from the company website, Yahoo is also offering a new link at the bottom of the Yahoo News page. It’s a link to a “Hack Mail” page that asks you to turn off any Yahoo email account you don’t want to be notified of breaking news.
