Director John Dahl stars in the series and it is set to premiere on December 18th, 2022. ordered a new chapter of the Dutton family’s history in addition to picking up 1883 for further episodes. Yellowstone is set in Wyoming two years after the devastating volcano eruption that killed most of the northwestern United States and followed Jay Dutton (played by Cole Hauser) as he fights to keep his farm alive during a brutal winter.

Eric Roth wrote the script with Black Bear Pictures’ Taylor Sheridan, who wrote “Hell or High Water” and the Netflix series “Godless.” Paramount Network’s head of development Nahnatchka Khan and Michael Rosenberg will exec produce along with Tom Lesinski and Jenna Santoianni from the Paramount Players division.
