We all have that one game in our collection that we can’t get enough of. You know, the one with the cool, addictive gameplay and eye-catching graphics. The one you love to play for hours on end, even if your thumbs are sore and you’re close to starving. You know its name, or you’ve figured it out. You can’t seem to stop playing it even if you have to sleep on the floor. If you’ve got a game like this, the chances are that it’s one of the many games we love to call Divinity: Original Sin 2 (divinity 2 zharah) is a sequel to 2013’s hit RPG from Larian Studios. It’s set in the world of Rivellon, an imaginary world based on our own medieval times and filled with races, monsters and magic. The player gets to choose between two nameless heroes who get thrown into a conflict that threatens Rivellon as a whole.

1. YOUR CHOICE
The characters of Divinity: Original Sin 2 are the game’s main attraction. They can be either male or female and are called by their first names only. The players will get to choose between two characters with different backgrounds and personalities, as well as their starting location on the world map. Dialogues and quests will be tailored to each player’s choices, so no matter which character you decide to play as, your experience will be unique.

2. THE KINGS OF RIVELLON
In Divinity: Original Sin 2, the characters meet other people known as “Kings of Rivellon” who live on the island of Khanduras together with their courts. They are kings who are also rulers, so they’re always busy and they want things to be done their own way. If the heroes want their help, they’ll have to fight for it. The dialogue choices will play a big part in their relationship with the Kings because the heroes have to choose between helpfulness and sarcasm.
3. THE DOGS OF WAR
Your characters have a faithful canine companion, but not just any dog. Each player will get to choose from the different breeds of dogs, including the Imperial Dog (aka Wolfhound), Bloodhound, Bulldog and the Saint Bernard. Each dog has its own unique appearance and personality so if you want to keep your dog alive you’ll have to take care of it.
4. THE DIVINITY OF ORIGINAL SIN
In Divinity: Original Sin 2 there are ten different magic schools that can be accessed by magic-users. If you want to improve your character’s skills, you’ll have to travel through different zones and learn powerful spells in order to pass the game’s many tests. The player’s characters are divided into different classes, just like tanks and healers, so they can’t use all the spells at once. Your choices will determine your magic’s origin, but with each magic school comes a new way of gameplay.
5. THE SORCERY SYSTEM
The Sorcery System is Divinity: Original Sin 2’s new way of playing the game. In order to affect a character in battle, you’ll have to pick from different skills that you get from your allies and enemies on the battlefield. You’ll have to play with your character’s stats and a variety of skills in order to make the right choice when it comes to controlling the flow of battle.
6. PICK YOUR POISON
When your character first steps into Rivellon, he or she will be given a number of potions. These potions will have different effects like poisons or healing spells, so you’ll have to use them wisely. The player’s choices will determine which potions the characters have access to and what kind of health they can heal with. If the character uses a potion that contains an overdose of poison, he or she will be vulnerable for the next five minutes.
7. THE FOUL ABROAD
Divinity: Original Sin 2 is an open-world game, so the heroes will get to explore a variety of different biomes and encounter many different types of monsters. The players will have to make sure they’re well-equipped enough for their journey because even the smallest critter can prove lethal if unprepared. The creatures you meet in Divinity: Original Sin 2 are known for their foul behavior, so if one of them attacks you, you’ll have to make sure you’ve got some killing power on your side.
8. THE MINI-GAMES
In Divinity: Original Sin 2, you’ll get to play with a number of different mini-games that range from tongue twisters to puzzles. If you want to earn some cash, you can pick the most difficult ones and sell the results at the local trader or auctioneer’s shop. The money given by selling your creations will be used by your character to buy upgrades in skills or potions in some cases.
Larian Studios are known for their unique gameplay, captivating story and breathtaking graphics. They’re also known for their highly-anticipated games, like Divinity: Original Sin 1 (2013 ) and Divinity: Original Sin 2 ( 2016 ).
