Disney’s much-anticipated Alien movie is finally moving forward, with production getting underway in April, just a few months after 20th Century Fox committed to the franchise. The film is set to be directed by Fede Álvarez and stars Michael Fassbender again as David, who will reprise his role from the prequel movie Prometheus. Scott also signed on for a limited production run that will run through 2022.

Ridley Scott originally directed the original Alien series with iconic performances coming from Sigourney Weaver and Tom Skerritt among others. The films were box office hits and won several awards, but after the disappointing second movie in the franchise, the team tried to reboot it twice. The first attempt, Prometheus was a prequel to Alien and Scott returned for the prequel movie.

What’s About The Storyline In “Alien’?

The Alien franchise is returning to the nearby space of its original 1979 release and will be set between the original movie and its prequel movie Prometheus.
