Every week, there’s a new version of the dating app on the market. With over 30% of American adults reporting to use dating apps at least once, more than 50 million people worldwide have signed up to date. If you’re looking for love, there are plenty of options to suit your personal preference.

This blog post will help you find out which app is right for you and what features it offers so that you can avoid being frustrated by not finding your perfect match. Rusdate us is a dating app for people who want to flirt and make friends and is not about hookups. This blog post will focus on the two most popular hookup apps: Tinder and Grindr, but there’s also Happn, Feeld, Bumble, Chappy, Hinge, Coffee Meets Bagel.

While reviewing the apps on the market today I decided to write this comprehensive review. I know from personal experience how confusing it can be trying to figure out which of these hookup apps is best for you and how much they cost.

Everything You Need To Know About Dating Apps :

1. Tinder

The app that started all the dating swipe revolution, Tinder lets you swipe right or left to find who you like and dislike. It’s a big hit among young people, especially students. The idea behind Tinder is pretty simple:  You create your profile by uploading a few pics and writing something about yourself using the given text boxes. Then you can choose what kind of people to search for, like women near my age.

After this quick profile set up, you are brought to the main page of Tinder where all the girls/guys are displayed based on your preferences. Each one has two photos, first a photo taken from the front and then another photo taken from the side showing their silhouette. If you like the first photo, you can swipe right if you find them attractive. If you swipe left for the second photo then this person isn’t your type and that’s it.

2. Grindr

Grindr is the world’s largest social networking app for gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people. It uses location to help you get together with the guys near you. Grindr does less filtering compared to Tinder since it shows you guys who are nearby and also those who are a few miles away. The app works in a very simple way: You can create your profile by uploading your personal photos along with a description of yourself using the given text boxes.

After this quick set up, you will be brought directly to the main page of Grindr where all photos of guys are displayed based on your preferences. You can either scroll through or search for guys by looking at their profiles. After you’re finished, you can send direct messages if you like any of the guys on the app.

3. Hinge

Hinge is an entirely different app then other apps since it lets you connect with only one person at a time. Before connecting, you can review their photos and brief bio. The app also lets you decide how to connect with them: no-strings-attached or talking first, which is similar to Tinder.  Once connected, and depending on your experience together, Hinge will either suggest meeting up or send a message to talk about the psychology and chemistry of your connection.

4. Tinder’s Hidden Costs

Tinder is free to download and use, but there are some hidden costs that you might not be aware of, like paying for extra profile pictures, AND all of these extra costs are shared between you and your matches.

If you start to get a lot of matches, which is common after the release of new versions of the app, then you will find that your monthly fee goes up. It’s understandable since they have to pay the hosting fees but it might become expensive compared to other dating apps if you really want a bunch of matches.

5. Grindr’s Hidden Costs

Grindr is a free app but there are hidden costs as well. The biggest is that paying for extra features like the ability to see who has viewed your profile costs money too. These features are over the free version, which is understandable. However, the cost of these features are shared between you and your matches so you might end up paying even more after a while because they’ve proven to use it.

6. How To Save on Tinder/Grindr?

For Tinder, just use their mobile app since it only costs $12 per year for unlimited swiping on the go and talking with anyone who has shown interest in you so long as they are within 40 miles of your location.
