Netflix released the first full-length trailer for season 2 of its long-awaited dramedy.

Netflix revealed a new season 2 trailer for “Ginny & Georgia” on Tuesday. The clip shows the aftermath of Georgia’s discovery that Ginny had been in contact with her stepfather, and was involved in his death.

When she arrives home much later, Ginny is waiting there to tell her that he has killed himself. The shocking news leaves both sisters in tears and we see Ginny comforting Georgia through her tears and trying to calm her down.

What’s The Plotting On “Ginny & Georgia Season 2”?

The second season will show Ginny on a mission to prove Georgia’s innocence in her stepfather’s death. Along the way, Abby begins to question the bond she has with Ginny, who, in turn, begins to re-think her friendship with Georgia.

The trailer also teases scenes showing Max trying to comfort and help Ginny through her situation and an encounter between Abby and Max that ends abruptly.

While Ginny’s face-off with her mother seems to have been avoided, for now, the trailer shows them seemingly staring at each other from across a dinner table. The clip also revealed that Ginny’s love life is progressing, but it doesn’t seem like her romance with Marcus is going on a smooth road as the trailer shows her saying “no” to him. However, her ex-Hunter is having a hard time moving on, as he’s seen snooping around Ginny and Marcus’ house.

What’s Interesting About The “Ginny & Georgia Season 2”?

The trailer shows a number of new characters. Some of them are Ginny’s father and brother, who have been mentioned briefly in season 1, but never seen.

The trailer also teases an encounter between Ginny and Georgia’s lover. It’s unclear if Georgia cheated on one or both sisters, but her secret has threatened to tear the girls apart.

The last thing to look forward to is the scenes showing Ginny being confronted by her estranged mother, who she told off in the final seconds of season 1. It remains unknown whether they really made up or not in season 2, as the trailer doesn’t give anything away speculating about their future relationship with each other.

What About The Season 1 Of “Ginny & Georgia”?

The first season of “Ginny & Georgia” was a mashup of “Big Little Lies” and “Fargo”, but not even in the same universe or tone. It’s a dark comedy taking place in a small town where everybody thinks they know everybody and seems to be living happily ever after, but as the narrator warns us from the very beginning, this is not always true.

In true rags-to-riches fashion, two former high school outcasts come back to their hometown — Ginny and Max — to bury their recently deceased stepfather. However, there’s more than meets the eye when Ginny discovers that he was murdered by Georgia’s boyfriend Hunter.

What’s The Launching Date Of “Ginny & Georgia Season 2”?

Netflix did not reveal the release date of season 2. But, some fans suspect that it will be released on January 5. The day when the streaming service released the first full-length trailer of season 2.
