The final book of the Spiderwick Chronicles, The Wrath of Mulgarath, is the only one not to be made into an entire Spiderwick movie. Now Disney+ has announced that they’ll be turning this final book into a series.

“We are thrilled to extend and deepen our relationship with Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black,” said Ben Hatke, president at Disney Publishing Worldwide. “The world they created together with their imagination and wit will live on through these new chapters on Disney+, where we continue our mission to bring stories that speak to kids’ hearts and minds.

Who’s In The Casting For “The Spiderwick Chronicles”?

The biggest clue that this is a spin-off in the works comes from the fact that Disney+ has yet to confirm casting. And with that in mind, it’s important to note that there are several people who have been reported as being involved in the casting process (and may be mentioned later on).

Many of these names have been assumed to be a part of the Spiderwick Chronicles family due to franchise ties, but in case they aren’t we’ll list their most likely connection(s) here:

That being said, has its author created a better novel? It’s doubtful. The same faults are present in this novel series too: nothing new has been done and the characters are still caricatures of themselves…
