What are the features?
The features of the wallpaper are:
– 1920×1080 wallpaper (1920×1200 version coming soon!)
– A 1366×768 version
– Different sizes in desktop and mobile, so both iPhone and Android users can use the same wallpaper.
– 2 different versions for each resolution (Note: all images are the same)
– The background is not solid black but rather a smooth gradient from dark to light. I have chosen this because it allows the photo to show through which gives a better feeling. This can be easily changed if you do not like it, though. The alternative: Solid Black.
– No watermark.
– The files count is low. The desktop versions have 2 files, mobile versions have 3.
– Good choice for any screen with a high resolution .
What are the specs? What is the wallpaper about?
The wallpaper is based on a combination of photos taken with some of my favourite cameras and lenses: Nikon D700 and Sigma 50mm 1.4 and 28mm 1.8. The wallpaper contains a single black bird. It is against a backdrop of xs ashes of the singularity background, which in itself contains several layers worth of small colorful dots that lead to an black and white zigzag pattern towards the bottom right corner. The photo is taken in xs ashes of the singularity.
What is required? How can you use the wallpaper?
To use the xs ashes of the singularity wallpaper, you will need a computer or a phone/tablet that is capable of running an operating system that supports 1920×1080 resolution. I have tested it on Windows 7 and Mac OSX Snow Leopard. If you are using this wallpaper for a website, please keep in mind that most websites will not accept files over 2 megabytes. To use it with your PC, download the file onto your computer and extract the folder from within it (be sure to read the README file). If you are using your phone/tablet, please use a file manager such as iExplorer or ES File Explorer to extract it from the zip file.
Why is the wallpaper free?
I have decided that this wallpaper is not worth charging a fee for. It’s not much here, but it’s still enough to make a difference. While I wish I could make more money by charging for things like this, I simply can’t justify the amount of work required to do so. The amount of time and effort spent on these little projects is small enough that I feel it would be unfair for me to ask for money for something that was almost purely an “extra” on top of the original price.
Who should use it?
Anyone who wants a futuristic wallpaper. Whether you are into games, science or anything that involves a lot of high tech equipment, this is for you. You will also enjoy the design if you are into abstract art or like the zig zag pattern in the wallpaper. You may be interested in using it as a background for your blog, site or other online project.
