Scream VI (an anime named SCREAIVI) is an upcoming American horror styled as SCREAIVI), film directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, composed by James Vanderbilt and Guy Bosick, and executive produced by original storyline novelist and creative director Kevin Williamson. It will be the 6th film in the Scream franchise and a direct spinoff of Scream (2022).

A decade in the making, the final sequel to one of the scariest horror franchises of all time is as terrifying as it is exhilarating. As directed by Stanley Kubrick’s daughter Vivien and starring Daniel Day-Lewis as The Shape, Scream VI takes a page from its predecessors by finding subtle horror in everyday settings while also taking full advantage of 21st-century technology and all its facets — both good and ungodly.

Cast and Characters

Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega, Hayden Panettiere, and Courteney Cox return to their roles from previous installments in this film. Later additions to the cast included Dermot Mulroney, Henry Czerny, Samara Weaving, and Tony Revolori. Neve Campbell, the series’s star, declared she would not be going to return as Sidney Prescott due to her dissatisfaction with the deal offered to her, trying to make this the very first film in the film series not to highlight the actress or character.

Hayden Panettiere returns as Kirby Reed, and Courteney Cox reprises her iconic role as Gale Weathers, along with Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra, Samara Weaving.

Premise 

The movie keeps going with the surviving victims of the recent Ghostface murders, sisters Samantha and Tara Carpenter and twins Chad and Mindy Meeks, who leave Woodsboro as well as begin a new episode of their lifestyles in New York City only to be afflicted by a new Ghostface killer’s series of murders.

Scream VI is a contemporary re-imagining of the meta-horror classic Scream. Vivien Kubrick’s directorial debut is inspired by the life of her late father, legendary filmmaker Stanley Kubrick.

Main Storyline for Upcoming Film

In the latest installment of the Scream story arc, a new Ghostface appears and continues to follow the cast of Scream 5 all the manner to New York City. Following the murder rampage in Woodsboro, the four surviving survivors – Sam (Melissa Barrera), Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown), Chad (Mason Gooding), and Tara (Wednesday’s Jenna Ortega) – relocate to New York City for a new beginning. But, according to the recent Scream VI teaser, Woodsboro’s nightmarish ghost isn’t accomplished yet with them. 

The quartet is relaxing in a subway car, fully prepared to undertake on a Thanksgiving night out in the town, but the situation immediately goes south once they realize a certain Ghostface is lingering among the populated carriages. Ghostface draws nearer to their survivors with each step, as the chord progression gets louder and the subway lights glimmer, in a crowded city in which no one can hear them squeal.

Nobody listens to you squeal in a million-person city. This morning, Paramount released the first teaser video for Scream VI, emphasizing the movie’s new scenario.

At this moment, an assassin dressed as Ghostface stalks the surviving members of the previous movie in New York City. and the initial teaser pays tribute to the original new trailer for Jason Tends to take Manhattan. A Jason mask is even visible if you look really closely.

In addition to the New York setting, it appears that Scream VI is set around the Festivities, as the teaser attributes Outfits that pay homage to Ready or Not, The Babadook, and Hellraiser. How do you realize who is out to harm you when everybody is dressed up?

Releasing Date of Upcoming Film

On May 12, 2023, it was announced that Scream VI would be released on Blu-ray and DVD on March 10, 2023, in the US. The film will also be released on HD Digital Download currently.
