Nowadays, when you ask someone what the latest folk culture trends are about traveling jobs for married couples, they might tell you how hip or hype these trends are. To help you figure out which one to choose, we’ve made a handy list of the best folk culture trends and our thoughts on them.
1. Team Edward vs. Team Jacob
Team Edward is the alliance supporting Edward Cullen from the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. Team Jacob is the alliance supporting Jacob Black from the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. This one is really a toss-up, since neither one of them are very interesting or groundbreaking in any way, shape, or form, but they’re both popular enough to be considered a folk trend, so we decided to list this as something that you may want to try out if you’re looking for something new to do and don’t quite know what it is that you want yet.
2. Team Blair
Team Blair is the alliance supporting Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl by Cecily von Ziegesar. Team Blair is a very popular trend at the moment, as most people want to be associated with a pretentious, closed-minded snob who gets everything handed to her on a silver platter and who thinks that she’s better than everyone else when she’s not. Team Blair is also one of the few trends where it’s actually more accepted to be on team popular , rather than team unpopular .
3. Team Miley
Team Miley is the alliance supporting Miley Cyrus from Hannah Montana by Michael Poryes. Team Miley is this year’s most popular folk trend, and it’s probably going to be sticking around for a long time if the current scene in pop culture is any indication. Everywhere you look these days, there’s some kind of reference to Team Miley. Some people like team Miley simply because they like the music and think that she’s cool, while other people are on team Miley just because everyone else is on it and they want to be considered cool too. Either way, Team Miley is one of the best folk culture trends right now, as everyone in it is considered to be cool and attractive.
4. Team Michael
Team Michael is the alliance supporting Michael Jackson from the Jackson family. The thing about team Michael is that it’s not really anything all that special or different from any other team in terms of what people get out of being on it. The difference between team Miley and team Michael is that most people are probably telling themselves that they’re actually on team Miley because they like her and her music, rather than just because everyone else is on it too, as with team Michael.
5. Team Hawthorne
Team Hawthorne is the alliance supporting Spencer Hastings from Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard. Team Hawthorne is probably the best “hip” folk culture trend right now, as it’s much more accepted to be on it than all the other trends. People are really excited about this one and all the drama surrounding it because they know that they can have some fun with it, but since the show on which this trend is based is full of drama and pretension, you won’t be seen as cool or attractive if you’re on team Hawthorne.
6. Team Charlie
Team Charlie is the alliance supporting Charlie from Guiding Light by Agnes Nixon. Team Charlie is a new trend which came into being around the time that Edward Cullen and Jacob Black were going around killing people and breaking up happy couples, so it’s probably not going to stick around forever, but it’s still really popular right now. People don’t really like team Charlie because they aren’t attracted to its members, but rather because they feel better about themselves when they’re attached to such a cool trend.
7. Team Olivia
Team Olivia is the alliance supporting Olivia Walton from Desperate Housewives by Marc Cherry. Team Olivia is pretty similar to team Miley in that it’s extremely popular, as well as being one of the few folk cultures trends where being on it actually makes you seem cooler than if you were on other popular ones.
8. Team Carmel
Team Carmel is the alliance supporting Carmela Soprano from The Sopranos by David Chase. Team Carmel is one of the more interesting folk trends because most people appreciate it for its dark humor, but a lot of them are probably just saying that they’re on this one so that they can say that they’re really into dark humor as well as pop culture.
9. Team Littlefinger
Team Littlefinger is the alliance supporting Varys from Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin. The interesting thing about team Littlefinger is that most people are probably telling themselves that they’re on it because they like who Varys is and think that he’s super cool, but in reality they’re probably just saying that they’re on team Littlefinger because everyone else is on it.
10. Team Dawson
Team Dawson is the alliance supporting Dawson Leery from New Girl by Liz Meriwether. Team Dawson is probably the one folk culture trend that everyone on it wants to be on, but no one’s actually attracted to the members of team Dawson. People are associating themselves with this trend because they want to be punky and cool like the people on team Dawson, and not because they actually like any members of their alliance.
