I had to make an entry in this weekly obituary for a friend. He was a big supporter of The Wapakoneta Daily News and always had some interesting story on the news. His obituary said he was born in New York City and died in our community at Wapakoneta. He was a huge fan of The Daily News and it was the first paper that he ever attended as a child.
This guy lived a very unusual life. He was born to a mother of Italian-American descent. He spent his whole childhood in New York City. He lived in the suburbs with his parents, who apparently didn’t speak English very well. He went to the public school system and then transferred to Wapakoneta High School, where he was a student. He was a star athlete in high school.
He was also a super fan of The Daily News. He would go and buy the paper and just get all sorts of crazy ideas and theories and opinions. It was the first paper that he ever attended, so it was his first introduction to what was going on in the world. It was also where he began writing his obituary.
There’s a really good reason for this. He was the school’s star athlete and the student paper’s star athlete. He was also extremely well-liked and outgoing and had just gotten his driver’s license. He was also very well-liked by his peers and had been for a long time.
Theres a funny thing about paper obituaries. They tend to be extremely well-written and seem to go out every day. But, you know, they’re not really true obituaries at all. He wrote them himself, based on the people he knew and their deaths. A lot of people like this, because it’s interesting to read, and its an easy way to remember things. But, it’s a little weird to read.
You would think that someone who has been in the paper industry as long as he has, and who’s worked in every department from news reporter to editor to designer, would know the ins and outs of the business. He didn’t. He wrote this a little bit out of desperation, and he was trying to remember something someone had said. But, there’s a lot of that desperation to the obituaries that make this a little weird.
The obituaries, like the obituaries, are a good way of thinking about a writer for a newspaper. But, they can be a little more personal, and interesting, than the obituaries.
The daily newspaper obituaries. This is the obituary written by the obituary writer. And this is the obituary written by the obituary writer who was sick when she did this.
