This week, the newest member of the Ok family was announced! After much deliberation, the two of us finally made the decision to adopt a baby girl. We named her Chika, and she is the most precious thing we have ever had in our lives. There is so much joy in knowing that we have our daughter, and our relationship with her is even more exciting.
We have to say that it feels like we’re at the end of our road, but we know we’re not. Every day is new, and every moment is precious. When we look at each other at night, and see that even though the two of us have been through so much, there is still so much we still can share.
It is hard to believe that just four short days ago we were in a hospital room and a doctor told us that we would not be able to have a baby girl. It was sad to know that it would never happen, but also exciting. Chika is the best thing that will ever happen to us. We could not have asked for a better ending.
It seems like yesterday we were on a long, long flight from Chicago to St. Louis to meet her. That was the longest trip of our lives, and the last time we were together. Now, we are on the one day we have left. And this time, I know that she will be waiting for us.
The main character of the video games will be the only one we can get to this moment. We will still be walking the street, but a new time is coming. The characters of the first game have changed for us, and we must take responsibility for how we make them. We know that this is the greatest moment in our lives.
