On the flip side, it’s a lot easier to just stop and think. Instead of trying to do everything by your own, think about those things that are out there.
This might be the most obvious example of self-awareness, but it’s also why it’s so hard to understand what can be used to help people do the right thing. A lot of people don’t understand how their body and mind work so they don’t have to constantly look for solutions to their current problems.
If I’m not mistaken many people think people have self-awareness.
self-awareness is something we think we have when we’re in the moment. As in, “Ok, I’m a human, and when I have a problem, I think about my options and then do the right thing and try to solve it.” In reality, our brains are always thinking about the future. This is called prospective memory. In the future we will remember things not done or not done right.
Prospective memory is the process when we are thinking about the end of the world or something, and we can’t remember what we actually did or didn’t do. We can’t think we did everything we could. Even though we have this ability, we don’t necessarily have any control over it.
In the future, we can think about the past. We can think about past events and the future. We can try to make decisions with a clear mind and focus on our goal and the way we feel about it. In the future, we can’t know where we are and what we are doing. We can’t really plan for the future.
I have to say, I have a hard time with this. Because as much as I hate to put it in a negative light, I think that we’re always so busy with so much on the line, that we dont have time to think about things that might be important. The most important thing to me in life is how I feel about my life. How I feel about myself. How I feel about the people that surround me. The things that are important to me.
To be honest, I was a bit surprised by how many people were making excuses for not having time for themselves. Maybe no one really wants to be on their way to work every morning at 5:00 A.M., or spending all their time reading the latest book to catch up on the latest gossip. Maybe people who make excuses are just trying to save face by saying they don’t have time for the things they really want to do.
I think we’ve all found ourselves in that position. There are those people who will always look at you and say “I don’t want to read my phone anymore” or “I don’t want to go to work” or “I don’t want to go to the doctor” or “I just don’t feel like going to work”.
The truth is, you dont want to talk on your phone at work, and those people are your friends. Most people who say those things are just trying to avoid doing something they really want to do. It’s better to say you don’t feel well and go on to the doctor, or get some exercise, or just not talk on the phone.
