The Tigrigna News is a weekly news publication from the Tigrigna, New Mexico area. Today’s post features a new video to celebrate the Tigrigna’s 25th anniversary.
Tigrigna is a very small village located in the mountains of New Mexico. It’s an extremely isolated community that seems to have a very strong sense of community. Tigrigna has a very diverse group of residents that includes both newcomers to the area as well as those who have lived there for a number of years.
The population of Tigrigna is made up of many different tribes, cultures, and ethnicities, all of which have a very unique way of life. Tigrigna has one of the largest ethnic minority populations in the US. There are people who are of the Hispanic and mixed Hispanic/Latino descent, those who are more of the indigenous American culture, and those who are of the African American culture.
To be clear, the Tigrigna people have no history of being assimilated, and they’ve only recently gotten their first language, which is Spanish. However, the Tigrigna people started to have a very different culture from the American one, and they’re still assimilated to the Spanish-speaking cultures that were present in the area before the Civil War.
This is why we’re so excited to get a video of one of our own, Tigrigna news reporter, Yuliana Flores. She’s reporting on Tigrigna history, culture, and how things have changed for the Tigrigna people since the Civil War.
Yes, the entire video is in Spanish, but the part about Tigrigna culture is the part that really resonated with me because my family and I are from Tigrigna.
Yuliana, who has been working in Tigrigna for ten years, has been writing about the Tigrigna people for the past two years, and has been documenting Tigrigna history in her own blog since early 2012. She was the one who brought to my attention that the Tigrigna people were known for their strong resistance to the Civil War and the political and military power of the Spanish in the region.
Tigrigna culture is the part that really resonated with me because my family and I are from Tigrigna.Yuliana, who has been working in Tigrigna for ten years, has been writing about the Tigrigna people for the past two years, and has been documenting Tigrigna history in her own blog since early 2012.
I was able to find an interview with Yuliana that she had done with the Tigrigna People’s Voice, and it’s a fascinating look into the history of the Tigrigna people since they were forced to flee Spain by the Civil War during the 1700s. It’s a rare thing, and it’s hard to find in English, but I think it’s worth your time to check it out.
The Tigrigna Peoples Voice (TPUV) is a Tigrigna-based, internet-based group. The group was formed by Yuliana when she was ten years old, when she was living in Spain. The TPUV was created to help the Tigrigna people with both social and political issues, and to help the Tigrigna people reclaim their language, culture, and language.
