On top of that, she charges $75 dollars a month for a security deposit, $50 dollars a month for a water bill, and $50 dollars a month for a garbage collection. So in total she charges tenants $800 dollars a month for two apartments.
That’s a lot of rent for a place to live, even if it was only one month and a half. Of course, we’re also paying rent on our own apartment, so our landlords are basically stealing from us. We have to remind ourselves to pay rent, but we also have to remind that landlord that he’s not stealing from us. We don’t need all that money for cable or for garbage and water bills. We can afford them. We have a lot of other options.
