I searched for “news story” and sure enough I found a story about a new bill that might affect me.

If I were the governor of Kentucky, I might look at this bill and say, “Man, I wish I could just repeal that stupid law.
It’s not like our state has a Republican governor. But if you consider that a bill that affects you in some way, your governor can certainly find a way to veto it. If it were that simple, most states wouldn’t have to worry about it. The governor of Kentucky can definitely veto the bill.
It’s kind of like the old joke about how you can’t go home again. If you want to avoid a bill that affects you in some way, you have to stand in the way of it. And if you’re the governor of Kentucky, you’re going to have to do just that.
