It’s pretty clear that if you’re stuck on one of the islands and you just died, you can’t go out to the beach, so the developers are trying to make the game as much about escaping as survival. Of course, there’s also the question of how many people will be on Hazleton and how many will be on the other islands.
The developers want to make Hazleton a location that would be really hard to get to. That’s why they’re making it so small and the game so fast.
