Kerryon Johnson is a great example of a woman who was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was only 28 years old. Her breast cancer was in remission, which was miraculous for Kerryon, who was diagnosed at 16. However, after treatment, her cancer returned. Her breast cancer was in remission for a few months, then a year, then two, all before Kerryon’s diagnosis in January of 2011.
This brings us to the point of this week’s blog. Kerryon’s story is a perfect example of why we do a lot of research in our search for information. Like a lot of women with cancer, Kerryon had a lot of treatment options and options for her disease. In the beginning, she was treated with chemotherapy and other approaches. Even though she survived the initial treatment, her cancer returned. She then tried a traditional approach with radiation, surgery, and biopsies.
In order to get the best treatment for the disease, we had to find the right doctors for her. After much research, she was diagnosed with bone metastasis in February of 2011. The bone metastasis was what allowed her to die in November of 2011, less than six months after she was diagnosed.
When we were asked to discuss a new project, we were told that the “new project” was to be an attempt to create a platform for future research. This is exactly what the project called for, and we were given the opportunity to do exactly this.
We were given the opportunity to make a platform that would allow future doctors to study bone metastases and cancer more. The platform would allow future doctors to do research on any cancer that might eventually become a bone metastasis. It would be our goal to make the platform as accessible as possible for doctors to use, and it would be a way for us to share with doctors the latest medical developments.
We are so incredibly thankful for this opportunity. It’s great to be able to help out the future doctors of the world, and we didn’t have to ask for it. We got to make a platform for them to study the most advanced cancer treatment techniques so they can help advance the research.
Cancer treatments are a field that is going through a huge revolution right now, so in that sense, our platform will be the first to help accelerate this revolution. We’ll also be able to keep our doctors updated on the latest advancements so they can help their patients.
The doctors are going to need a lot more funding and time, and a lot more patients, but we hope that this platform will be a big part of the future for them in the future.
