A recent report from the Oakland Police Department shows a spike in crimes throughout the Oakland region. The department reported that police officers have received 2,500 calls since the beginning of June, which is more than double the number of calls they received during the first six months of 2008. Oakland Police Chief Howard Jordan also stated that the department has seen an increase in the number of calls for service from citizens reporting suspicious activity.
I remember a few years back going to a Halloween party and talking to a partygoer who’d been mugged, and they were pretty shaken up to hear that the mugger had a gun on him and was planning on using it.
A few weeks ago I got a call from a woman who claimed that she had been in the process of driving a car with a broken windshield. I figured it was a police officer’s fault, but she couldn’t tell for sure. So I called the Sheriff’s department around the city, and we were told that the driver of the car had been arrested. Apparently someone at the scene had something to do with the mugger’s disappearance.
The sheriffs department is a well-respected agency here in the Oakland county, and they do a good job of keeping people safe.
We’re looking at the possibility of a big problem for Oakland when a new police chief takes over on the day after the Oakland PD is put into a state of disarray by the death of their beloved Chief, Sean Whent, at the hands of an unknown assailant.
The Oakland Police Department has been reeling for a while, as they continue to deal with the fallout from the death of the charismatic and popular Chief. We at OaklandPD are trying to keep up on the police department’s recent troubles and have learned plenty about them.
We don’t have a problem with the Oakland Police Department’s new chief. He’s a person who is extremely loyal to the Oakland Police Department and has gone from being a very powerful force to being a terrible force. He’s the only one who can really change the world around him.
The Oakland Police Department reports the death of Chief Kirk Locklear. Our best hope is to keep him out of the Oakland Police Department and bring him to the public as the head of security.
Its a move that could result in some serious head-shaking for the Oakland Police Department. If the new chief is not brought to the public, one of the most powerful men in the country will be forced to resign. This is going to be a huge blow to the Oakland Police Department. If Locklear is the new chief, he will be forced to resign if he isnt brought to the public.
If that happens, the man who brought the Oakland Police Department to its current, corrupt state will be the guy to be held accountable. In the end, it’s a no-win situation for the Oakland Police Department and the public.
