I am so excited to share the news that a small, relatively new, company has created a website of their own. They call themselves, “The Mountain News.” They started out as a newsletter and then got more into creating a website and started offering the news of the day. The Mountain News does a lot of writing, photography, and video. It is the first site I have seen to include music.
I’m not sure where they got it from, but they seem to have a great amount of experience with websites and hosting. They’ve done a great job. They have a great blog, they have a few videos on YouTube, and they have a nice page on Alexa. They also have a Facebook page.
They also have a podcast, but for some reason no one seems to care.
Stone Mountain (SM) has an Alexa rank of #2. For comparison, the Mountain News website has an Alexa rank of #10. The Mountain News website is one of the top 10 stories on the Mountain News website. I like their sound, their design, their content, and their blog. What I don’t like is their business plan. They have a great business plan, but they have no good marketing strategy.
The problem is that Stone Mountain is a big, big, big company, so that can be hard to sell to. But that is precisely the problem that we are trying to solve on our new website, “The Mountain.” We have set up a network of websites such that anyone who visits the websites of any of the Mountain Mountain Mountain Mountain companies can get a free membership into the Mountain Mountain Mountain Mountain Network. I am sure that they are all thinking the same thing.
