The newport area of Virginia has been getting a lot of attention lately, and now, the restaurant has announced that it plans to open a second location in Blacksburg. The new location will include a new menu and will be a destination for local farmers markets, restaurants, and breweries. The new location will be located at 1801 Blackberry Lane in Blacksburg, it will be open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and will feature a new menu that includes some recipes from our local farmers.
To quote the company’s official press release, the new location will be “complementing Whole Foods Market’s existing offerings of organic and natural foods, fresh produce and locally sourced meats and seafood, as well as its growing selection of local wines and beers.
The site will also feature a new blog, which will be updated regularly. We’ll also be updating the site with new stories and videos. The new outlet, like we’ve said before, will be very much a “town square” for local news in the area.
Whole Foods Markets is a big deal for the town of Newport News, which has been steadily adding new restaurants and stores. In fact, this really is the first Whole Foods in the United States. If you haven’t heard of it, it has been a constant source of food news for folks in Newport. But it won’t be the only place that people can find healthy food.
