Canton’s new mayor said this week that he will not resign despite calls from the district to do so. In fact, many residents have turned out to show their support and make the call. Even though it hasn’t been announced officially, the city council has set a July 8, 2015 deadline for the mayor to step down.
The mayor will never resign. The city council has already announced it will not be able to hold the press conference to announce a move to resign, and it’s clear that a move will be made. But it’s also clear that the city council has already given up on leaving the mayor’s office.

In this case though, I think the city council is taking the matter further and making a decision.

The only reason canton ga would think they could get away with it is if the city council were to put them in jail. It would be a total no-no.
I think they are also making the point that Canton ga’s actions have left them in a very bad position, if they do not stop it. The reason canton ga is doing this is because they are afraid the city will rise up against them. They are making a very strong case that they can no longer be trusted and so they are going to do whatever it takes to keep the city from rising against them.
